Yesterday I went back to the little bird island Griss- holmen but without too much success, not much going on there yesterday. The day before my CF card for my recorder was full, so I had to stop. Then I went to the Elkjøp electronic store to buy a fresh one but they only had very big ones. But thanks to a very friendly guy in the service center I was able to backup my data from the card and clean it. He led me into their workshop, gave me a pc and I was able to do all I wanted to do!!
Yesterday night I met the Faust guys, saw their gig and met also Ronny of the Nødutgang festival. Very nice last evening in Oslo. Now I`ll check out and leave.
Norway was great!! I`ll come back soon, for shure!!
Thanks to:

Oslo - day 3

Yes, Oslo\s quite cool. The inner city is like most other european cities, but around are islands in the Oslo Fjord, that is cool. Yesterday some really good things happened. I went out to a park for having breakfast and then went to the harbour, there I found some really nice sratching metal sounds made byy a boat, so I went back to get my equipment and spent some time in the harbour, recording. I met a woman who told me about a boat wich goes to all the little islands in theh fjord so 15 minutes later I was on that boat and stepped out at some islands and taking the next boat... The second island was a kind of nature reservation and a lot of birds have been there and.... my flash card was full. Shit So I will go there today again. Better than the city with all the crappy humans! After that I found a music store (classic) so I asked for Jazz and that guy told me about a Jazz store called "Bare Jazz". So I went there, talked to the shop guy about nordic Jazz, spend too much money there and this guy told me about a good festival where xabec would possibly fit. He found out that the guy who runs it is in the city today, cause he plays a gig with Faust!! So Today I`ll go to that gig and hope to be able to talk to him and see Jean-Herve Peron (who invited me to his festival last year). It was like domino, one nice thing after the other! Exept when I came back to the hostel, my things were gone from the room, so I asked why. They thought I am Abdullah Achmed or so and forgot to check out. My real name wasn`t in the system, I wasn`t checked in!!?? I already slept 1 night there. But it was easy to clear that and now I have a new bed in a new room. And a new day with new sounds to explore... Tomorrow I am going back to Frankfurt.

Oslo - day one
I just arrived in Oslo and checked in at the hostel. The train journey from Bergen over the mountains to Oslo (6 hours) is very beatutiful and cool to get an overwiew over the landscape of south norway. Booked early enough you only pay 299 NOK, not much at all. I`ve seen many nice places in the mountains where I definitely could stay and walk a lot, but now everything is snowed of course - I have to comeback in summer.
Too sad that I can`t connect my camera here on the hostel computer, so no new pics (This one is from Herdla). Maybe tomorrow from somewhere else. Now I`ll check out the city for some hours (and a large coffee ;-)

Herdla

Today we´ve been to the little island "Herdla". It is a beautiful little nature reservation. All over the island are ruins of old bunkers and firing positions from world war 2. Incredible, so beatutuful nature (I like it) and these morbid bunker shit (I like it too) at the same time. Super! And some locations sounded very interesting, how the concrete walls reflected the bird calls and water sounds. From the sound view, maybe the best day ´til now. I am tired from the last 2 days and will rest tomorrow before I go to Oslo on thursday.

Folgefonna

yesterday we did the 2nd try for our tour to the Folgefonna glacier. And this time we had good weather and all busses were driving... So after 3h bus drive around the beautiful Hardanger fjord and over mountains we arrived in Odda and walked to one ice-"arm" of the glacier. It was super! Norway like I wanted to see it :-)
